Join the Anti-Stigma HOPE Campaign on Friday, June 12, for an Opening Reception to celebrate its Fifth Annual Art Exhibition, Art Uniting People: Celebrating Recovery, Creativity and Mental Health.

The exhibition is presented each year to reduce stigma and foster understanding by engaging the Alexandria community in a conversation about each person’s uniqueness and the commonality we all share. This exhibition, which runs through July 9 at City Hall, is the first of three.

Art Uniting People exhibition dates:

  • Opening Reception
    Friday, June 12,  6 – 7:30 p.m.
    City Hall, Rm. 2000
  • Second Exhibition Reception
    Tuesday, July 28, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
    St. Elmo’s Coffee Shop, 2300 Mt. Vernon Ave.
  • Third Exhibition 
    Friday, Oct. 2, 6 p.m. – Friday, Oct. 30, 6 p.m.
    Dr. Oswald Durant Memorial Center, 1605 Cameron St.

Art Uniting People is an exhibition that features the work of artists whose lives have been affected by mental illness, addiction or developmental disabilities.
