Alexandria Archaeology is hosting an archaeology summer camp and a few spaces are still available! Campers will learn professional excavating, recording, and artifact-processing methods as they help uncover Alexandria’s buried past while protecting historical resources. The excavation site is a post-Civil War African American house site.

Full scholarships are available. Each camper will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Campers supply their own drinks, snacks, and lunches. To register, visit https://alexandriava.gov/historic/info/default.aspx?id=28120#archaeology

For more information contact former Summer Camper and current Summer Intern Katie at Katherine.Ingebretsen@alexandriava.gov.
