Captain Gregory’s Secret Spot | Fireman Mike | Old Town Post

If you haven’t heard yet, there is a secret bar in O’Town that opened July 11th, 2015 where discretion is key.  It made Washingtonian’s list of 9 bars where you can meet someone discreetly.  Where is this place?

First of all you will need to make reservations because the bar only has 21 seats.  Walk-ins are allowed if space is available. 21 seats is quite craftily fashioned after the 21st Amendment. The 21st Anendment abolished prohibition on December 5, 1933.  In order to make reservations you will have to send a text request to 571-281-0059.  Once you arrive, you will have to pull a Rum flag in order to gain entrance.  Captain Gregory’s is open Sunday through Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

All drinks at the bar are uniquely hand crafted.  Drink prices range from an $8 Long Black Veil, from Port City Brewing, up to a $16 handcrafted libation of gin, amaro, and vermouth called the “Approaches to New York”.  Other crafty drink names include the Hanky Panky, Last Word, Breath of Life and the Jasmine.

The food prices range from $5 for an unlimited savory concoction of mixed nuts with secret spices up to $25 for “A Dozen From Next Door” (hint).  Some of their food dishes include peach and jalapeño braised pork belly, pulled pork, sweet Italian sausage, and a Captain’s Charcuterie plate big enough to feed three.

There is also an extensive list of desserts.

Alright already, where is this place?
