Salsa Las Glorias

Vendor Spotlight – Salsa Las Glorias
Buy some delicious homemade fresh salsa and chips from Salsa Las Glorias this Saturday.  Based in The Plains in Fauquier County, Owner Lilly Castano serves fresh salsa to customers across Northern Virginia. Castano makes six different types of salsa, ranging from mild to hot.  She uses locally grown ingredients, including fresh greenhouse tomatoes and all of her salsas have no added water, vinegar, or preservatives.

Market Event – Free Bike Clinic with VeloCity!
Haul your bike to the Market this Saturday and have VeloCity staff take a look at your ride!  The Velocity Bicycle Coop team will be set up in front of the stage this Saturday from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.  Check your tires for proper inflation, get a lube to eliminate that squeaky-mouse chain problem, learn how to fix a flat, get your brakes adjusted, your derailleur realigned, a spoke tightened, and much more!

Bike for Good

Market Event – Bicycle Food Rescue:  Bike for Good
Community Gleaning Day last Saturday was a success with nearly  200 lbs donated from caring customers; check out some of the photos on our Facebook page.  Come volunteer for our 4th bicycle food rescue at market this Saturday or just check out our bicyclists as they bicycle donated food to the Annie B. Rose Senior House at 12:30 pm.  For more information or if you’d like to volunteer, email:

Market to Table Recipe – Beet and Apple Salad
If you think beets and apple salad sounds boring, think again!  Sweet beets and apples are in season and pair together in this tasty recipe with a vinaigrette made with apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and a secret ingredient—horseradish!  Even if you’re not a beet fan, please give this salad a try.  We think you’ll love it!
