For the month of November, Overwood has partnered up with Carpenter’s Shelter to help the homeless. Mention Carpenter’s Shelter when dining and 15% of your purchase will be donated to the charity. And, as if the 15% to Carpenter’s Shelter wasn’t enough, as an added thank you Overwood will discount your check by 5%. It’s nice to take part in cuisine for a cause!

The Carpenter’s Shelter is a local organization that serves over 1,000 homeless and formerly homeless individuals annually. The Carpenter’s Shelter “supports homeless men, women and children in achieving sustainable independence through shelter, guidance, education and advocacy.”

So you can dine on delicious food at Overwood and give back to the Carpenter’s Shelter during this month of thanks! However, you might want to do more. The Carpenter’s Shelter relies on donations to make a special Thanksgiving happen for those in need. The shelter will accept donations the 8th through the 20th of November. Additionally, you can contact contact Kelly McDermott, Volunteer Coordinator (703.548.7500 ext 213 or kellymcdermott@carpentersshelter.org) for volunteer opportunities leading up to Turkey Day.
