Market Event – Holiday Cookie Decorating for Children! 
Join us this Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am as we decorate holiday cookies on the stage!  We’ll bring the sugar cookies, icing, and sprinkles—you just bring your little ones!  All ages are welcome; children under five years old must have a parent or guardian with them.  If you know you’re going to stop by, we encourage you to RSVP to mae.carroll@alexandriava.gov so we can save a cookie for you!

Market Event – Santa in Front of Market Square this Weekend!
Santa will be on a King Street Trolley this weekend in front of Market Square!  From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, you can take a free picture with Santa—look for him in front Ashton Farms on King Street.

Spotlight on Holiday Wreaths at Market!      
Does your home or apartment still need a bit more holiday spirit?  Swing by the Old Town Farmers’ Market this Saturday and check out our resident and special seasonal vendors who are selling beautiful holiday wreaths and garlands!  Most are made from locally-sourced balsam and all are hand-arranged.  We have door wreaths, kissing balls, ribbon wreaths, beautiful table centerpieces, and more!

Don’t Forget to Bring Your Compost to Market! 
Still have that old pumpkin from Halloween?  The Old Town Farmers’ Market in Alexandria, VA is happening this Saturday and so is the Resource Recovery Station—we’re there every Saturday to collect your food scraps.  Drop by and compost: even if it’s a drive by, the compost station will be there for you. #‎Happy #‎Composting smiley

SNAP/EBT Double Dollar Program
The Old Town Farmers’ Market accepts SNAP/EBT and offers customers up to $20 in matching funds. For more information on the Double Dollar program, see Double Dollar Brochure – English or Double Dollar Brochure – Spanish.  Stop by the Information Booth to get your tokens so you can enjoy delicious fresh vegetables and fruit picked at the height of their nutrition and tastiness!  When its cold, the SNAP/EBT booth is in the market office.
