Provide Feedback on Design Themes for Potomac Yard Metrorail Station and Refined Design Concepts for Potomac Greens Park
The community is invited to provide input on the design themes for the Potomac Yard Metrorail Station, and on the refined design concepts for Potomac Greens Park, by visiting AlexEngage, the City’s online engagement forum.
Comments received by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, will be compiled and discussed at the next Potomac Yard Metrorail Implementation Work Group (PYMIG) meeting on Thursday, January 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St. This feedback will inform the conceptual design process for the Metrorail station and amendments to the parks that are needed to build the station. The public is invited to attend all PYMIG meetings.
Over the next several months, residents and other stakeholders are invited to provide input at public meetings and online via AlexEngage, as the conceptual design is developed.
Regular project updates will be given to the Alexandria Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Board of Architectural Review, and City Council. The public process will be supported by a design team consisting of consultants, and staff from the City, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and the National Park Service.
