The following excerpt detailing the business model of Sweetgreen was taken from their website:
Founded in 2007, sweetgreen is a destination for delicious food that’s both healthy for you and aligned with your values. We source local and organic ingredients from farmers we know and partners we trust, supporting our communities and creating meaningful relationships with those around us. We exist to create experiences where passion and purpose come together.
They serve soups, grains, and salads. They have signature dishes, such as the spicy sabzi, guacamole greens, and avocobbo, but the go to for most customers is the build your own bowl. You can choose from a multitude of ingredients to customize your bowl of greens, proteins, grains, and dressings.
Sweetgreen has 11 locations in DC, 4 in Maryland, and Alexandria will be their 7th location in Virginia. The closest sweetgreen to Alexandria right now is at 2200 Crystal Drive in Arlington, Virginia.
