Final Meeting Set for Pedestrian/Bicycle Master Plan Advisory Committee | News Release | City of Alexandria

The Ad Hoc Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan Advisory Committee will hold its tenth and final meeting on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 7- 9 p.m. at City Hall, (Sister Cities Room 1101) at 301 King Street. The Committee will receive the final draft plan for endorsement. The role of the Advisory Committee is to provide guidance to City staff on the update to the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan and the development of Complete Streets Design Guidelines.

The update of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan includes an evaluation of existing conditions, issues, constraints and needs, as well as a review of existing policies, goals and objectives. The draft plan identifies pedestrian and bicycle projects, along with future bikeshare station locations, and strategies to implement the plan.  The role of the Advisory Committee is to provide guidance to City staff on the update to the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan and the development of Complete Streets Design Guidelines.
