DASH to Operate Special Off-Peak Service on March 16 Due to Suspension of Service on Metrorail

 Alexandria, VA – On Wednesday, March 16, the Alexandria Transit Company (DASH) will operate off-peak service from the Braddock Road Metro Station to the Pentagon Metro Station on the DASH AT3 and AT4 routes from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in addition to its regular weekday service. The DASH AT3 off-peak service will start from Braddock Road Metro at 9:30 a.m. and the DASH AT4 will start from Braddock Metro at 9:45 a.m. The DASH AT3 and AT4 off-peak service will operate approximately every 30 minutes between the Braddock Road Metro Station and the Pentagon Metro Station. This service will be operating to provide an off-peak connection to Metrobuses at the Pentagon Metro Station that continue into the District of Columbia.


The Metrorail system will close at its normal time tonight (midnight) and remain closed until 5 a.m. Thursday, March 17. All six Metrorail lines and all 91 stations will be closed on Wednesday.


For alternative transportation tomorrow, DASH riders are able to transfer to Metrobus via ART – Arlington TransitFairfax ConnectorVRE and Amtrak to commute into the District of Columbia.
