Morrison House, a boutique hotel located at 106 Alfred Street in Old Town Alexandria, has been undergoing some incredible renovations. The Hotel once housed The Grill at Morrison House. That restaurant is being replaced by the Ashlar Restaurant and Bar.

The news is out, Ashlar Restaurant and Bar will arrive this spring at Morrison House – A Kimpton Hotel!
We can’t wait to show off “dishes such as crab fritters with Old Bay aioli, bass and shellfish in a smoked tomato broth, or pork cheeks braised with local Port City beer and pickled mushrooms” and “spirits and fortified wines that were prevalent around Alexandria’s 18th century founding, including rum, sherry, and madeira.”
An opening date has not been set yet. The restaurant held a job fair on March 18th; thus, the opening shouldn’t be far away.
