Greetings! Spring is finally here and the Alexandria Sportsman’s Club is excited about our April events. I hope you will join us in the fun while supporting the Organization and the Community.
April 20th Spring2Action. Support deserving student-athletes in our Community by DONATING to the Alexandria Sportsman’s Club Scholarship Fund. This giving day is facilitated through the Alexandria Community Trust “Spring2Action” fundraising campaign. You can donate between now and April 20th, during Spring2Action. Make DONATIONS and see our list of 2016 Scholarship Award Winners that were provided a total of $16,000 in financial assistance due to your generous contributions.
April 24th ASC Goes to a National’s Baseball Game.
BUY TICKETS and plan to attend the ASC’s Annual “Take Me Out to The Ballgame” event on Sunday, April 24th, as our Washington Nationals take on the Minnesota Twins in an early season match-up. Active ASC donors can purchase great seats in Section 243 at a discounted group price of $16 per ticket. The game is open to everyone and all supporters can purchase tickets and join our organization through 2017 at great prices. The seats have excellent sight lines on the sunny side of the stadium; are very close to great food and drink options; and, most importantly, you will be sitting with ASC donors and friends, as well as a contingent of neighbors from the City of Alexandria, Department of Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Activities. As always, the ASC will donate 50 tickets to the Recreation Department so that children from the Recreation Department may attend this baseball game with us, for free. There is only a limited number of tickets so pay to reserve your seats ON-LINE, now. The ASC will mail the tickets to you in April.
Thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you at the National’s Game on April 24th.

Alexandria Sportsman’s Club
The Alexandria Sportsman’s Club, founded in 1947, is a non-profit and civic organization. Our sole purposes are to support local high school athletics and to recognize the achievements of our young athletes on the field and in the classroom. The sportsman’s club membership meets at the Old Dominion Boat Club on the third Tuesday of each month, where we gather in the fellowship of others with a shared interest in promoting competitive and recreational youth activities in Alexandria. We also present an Athlete of the Month Award recognizing a student-athlete selected from one of our four high schools. At each meeting a prominent speaker is featured. All meetings also feature drinks and snacks provided by the Sportsman’s Club, as well as a community dinner following the award presentation and the speaker. Please join us in helping to recognize and support our community’s youth athletes!
The Alexandria Sportsman’s Club (ASC) is a wonderful organization in our community and allows Old Town Post to publish materials they send to their members. If you are not already a member please click here to check out membership opportunities.
