Julia Bloom and Susan Hostetler have created complimentary bodies of work, in both two and three dimensions, inspired by nature;  murmurations and birdsongs, and organic grids of color and light. Both artists have taken advantage of the extreme height of the Athenaeum gallery and developed work that leverages the available space.

On Saturday July 30 at 2:00 the artists will conduct a workshop for children aged 8 to 12. The children will explore various media including making stencils and create work reflecting the nature of the show. Space limited, please call to reserve a spot (703 548 0035)

The Athenaeum Gallery is open Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 12 to 4 pm, and Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm.  It is closed on holidays. Admission is free.
