Hazmat Incident at Port City Brewing Company | Update | Old Town Post

Hazardous Materials emergency crews from Alexandria, Arlington and the Airport were sent to Port City Brewing Company, at 3950 Wheeler Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia, yesterday to investigate an incident.

A 55 gallon drum of phosphoric acid had been compromised during delivery. Crews spent about 4 hours to contain the situation. There were no reported injuries. 

Port City Brewing Company reported that their brews and brew team were safe. They also thanked emergency personnel for their handling of the situation.
