The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the honorees for the 2016 40 under 40 awards inaugural class. The 40 individuals will be celebrated at the 2016 40 under 40 Awards reception, sponsored by EagleBank, to be held July 28 at the United Way Worldwide building, with an after party at Mason Social.
The 40 under 40 program was established by the Chamber to recognize top men and women, age 40 and under, engaged in a variety of fields including business, technology, nonprofit management, civic life, public service, education, and the arts, who are shaping Alexandria for the future.
Honorees were selected by a selection committee and evaluated on specific criteria including professional and scholastic accomplishments, community and volunteer impact, and their goals for future and lasting impact. The Chamber intends to use this year’s event as the commencement of a broader leadership initiative, further engaging awardees within the community that has nominated and selected them to make a difference.
The Chamber is proud to honor these individuals and celebrate their accomplishments. Our honorees represent a diverse group of individuals, all contributing to the thriving business and civic community in Alexandria. It because of their efforts that Alexandria will continue to be an attractive place for business. When businesses look to Alexandria, they will see a talented, educated, and committed work force. We are looking forward to working with them going forward to ensure Alexandria remains the ideal place to live and work
