Junction Bakery & Bistro Opened Today in Del Ray | Fireman Mike | Old Town Post

img_7741The Junction Bakery & Bistro begins their soft opening process today, July 6, 2016, and will have their full opening on July 11, 2016.  The bakery replaces Mancini’s at 1508 Mount Vernon Avenue in the Del Ray section of Alexandria.

The soft opening hours are July 6-8 from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and  July 9-10 from 7:00 a.m. until the last brunch seating at 2:00 p.m..

I stopped in today around 11:30 a.m. and there was a line of about 15 inside the door.  A lot of people were seated and waiting on their orders. The place seemed a little frantic and a lot of employees were hanging around without seemingly knowing what to do.  However, working out the kinks is exactly why a business has a soft opening.  I opted to move on and not wait today. Their lunch menu did look pretty good though.

On Monday, July 11, 2016, the Junction will be offering full breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.. Brunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday from 10:a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
