Eye2eye Optometry Damaged in Al’s Steak House Fire and Yet to Reopen | News Release | Eye2eye

Eye2eye Optometry Corner suffered severe smoke and particle damage in the 3 alarm fire at neighboring Al’s Steakhouse last Wednesday. They have remained closed, except for prescription pick ups, since last Wednesday while undergoing a full restoration.

It has been a true team effort this past week, as eye2eye’s hardworking staff has put in volunteer hours to help clean and taken unpaid time off to help ease the financial burden. Eye2eye would like to thank the community for their support – many neighbors have stopped in to show their support and ask about the restoration progress.

Owner, Dr. Dora Adamopoulos, hopes to have eye2eye Del Ray’s doors open again next week, pending the completion of restoration work. Eye2eye Optometry Corner has a second Alexandria office, located in the Hilltop Village shopping center next to Wegmans at 6475 Old Beulah Street. Del Ray patients can schedule appointments there while eye2eye Del Ray is under restoration. Appointments can be booked through their website, www.myeye2eye.com

Below is a link to restoration updates from eye2eye. Eye2eye is grateful for the support of their community, the hard work of the first responders who put out the fire and are looking forward getting their doors open again soon.
