Update – FBI Releases Wanted Poster for the Suspect in this Robbery

The FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force and the Fairfax County, Virginia Police Department are investigating this robbery and request that anyone with information call the Washington, DC Office of the FBI at 202-278-2000, the Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131, or contact Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477. You may also contact your local FBI office, or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.

Man Holds Two Adults and Child at Gunpoint While Committing Robbery

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from the Major Crimes Division are investigating a commercial robbery that occurred at Beauty Island, 7814 Richmond Highway on Tuesday, August 23 at around 11:15 a.m. A man entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect then forced two female employees and a 7-year-old girl into a back room before he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victims were not injured. The suspect was described as black, 25 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, muscular build, wearing a black ski mask, white shirt, and black pants.
