This Annual Caregiver Conference recognizes that caregiving for someone with dementia involves the entire family — spouses, adult children, grandkids, siblings, neighbors and friends. This conference provides valuable information on understanding dementia, ways to help yourself and ways to engage your loved one at home. Learn how to manage difficult behaviors, and different caregiving resources from 35 on-site vendors.

The cost of the conference is only $30 and includes breakfast, lunch and a certificate of attendance.  Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for an additional $30. Deadline for registration is November 1. Limited free in home respite care for persons with dementia is available, but needs to be requested by October 15, by calling GraceFul Care at 703.904.3994. You can register online. For more information or to request a registration form, call Debbie Ludington at 703.746.5694.

The City of Alexandria is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended. To request a reasonable accommodation, email Maurice Tomdio or call 571.384.5244.
