We’ll be hosting a one day event for the Soarway Foundation’s fundraiser art show on October 29th from 4-7pm. Please join us to support this foundation and its great cause!
Information about the foundation:
“The Soarway Foundation was created in April of 2015 with the intent to focus on disaster risk reduction and preparedness in Nepal. Little did we know that within days of our creation a major earthquake would cause devastation and destruction in Nepal, only to be followed by a second major quake shortly after. The world changed for Nepal, and the Soarway Foundation followed suit.”
Excerpt from their newsletter about the show:
“The power of art is incredible. It transcends borders and it flows across barriers of language, culture, and identity to touch our souls and our hearts. Art transforms us, enriches us and changes us. On October 29th we will highlight the incredible work of young artists from Uganda and Nepal who know this — and who know that their art is an expression of our common humanity.”

After months of receiving submissions and having juried the entries with artist Teresa Oaxaca, we will be displaying the selected artworks in our “Root to Bloom: The Places Artists Call Home” exhibition. The opening reception will start at 6:30PM where we will announce the winners of our gallery prizes! Come join us for great food, drinks, and conversation! Many of the artists will be in attendance.
This event is free and open to the public.
