Mason Police District – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding two missing teens, Edvin Escobar Mendez, 17, of Falls Church, and Sergio Arita Triminio, 14, of Alexandria. Initially, officers did not believe the two cases were connected; however, after extensive investigation, have discovered there may be a connection. In both cases, each teen was entered into the system as a missing juvenile. There was no reason to believe either of them was in imminent danger at that time.

Mendez was reported missing on September 1. Triminio was not reported missing until October 4; however, our investigation determined that he had been missing since September 27. Since that point, officers and detectives have led extensive efforts to find them.

Recently, the investigation led detectives to believe the two are acquainted and affiliated with gangs. Additionally, there is new information to indicate they may be at risk.
