The City of Alexandria Office of Housing is now marketing two newly renovated homeownership units available through the Alexandria Neighborhood Stabilization Program. The first is a two bedroom, 1.5 bath unit at Alexandria Lofts. The unit is listed at $206,500 with a monthly condominium fee of $576.
The second unit is a two-bedroom, two bath condominium at The Exchange at Van Dorn 4850 Eisenhower Avenue, Unit 112. This property is listed at $290,000 with monthly condo fees of $447. Click here for the complete listing.
Purchasers may be eligible for up to $50,000 in no-interest, deferred payment financing through the Flexible Homeownership Assistance Program (FHAP) and must be first-time homebuyers, live or work in the City of Alexandria, and must have a gross annual income within Department of Housing and Urban Development limits. Current income limits and assistance amounts can be found on the Office of Housing webpage. Applicable income limits for these purchases are under the category “Low Income (Federal assistance)”. As an example, a two-person household must have a gross annual income of no more than $69,500 to qualify for these purchases. The City’s nonprofit partner and property owner, Rebuilding Together Alexandria, is offering a matching closing cost grant of up to $4,000 to the qualified purchaser.
