Celebrating the Faces of Carpenter’s | Shannon Steene, Executive Director | The Carpenter’s Shelter

The holidays are fast approaching, and here at the shelter we are taking a minute to celebrate the many faces of Carpenter’s that make up our organization. From residents to volunteers, donors to staff members, all faces of Carpenter’s play a vital role in ending homelessness in our community. Because of your support, our residents were able to accomplish the following in the last year:

  • 131 adults participated in financial literacy classes and residents saved an average of $864 while in shelter for future housing costs.
  • 95% of the former residents that stayed connected to Carpenter’s after leaving the shelter remained permanently housed for at least a year.
  • 90 adults and families moved from homelessness to permanently housed.

While we celebrate the many accomplishments of our residents in 2016, we know that 2017 will continue to bring new challenges. Become a face of Carpenter’s and Donate Now to invest in the futures of the homeless in our community.

Thank you for giving hope this holiday season and for being a member of the Carpenter’s Shelter family!

Happy Holidays,

Shannon Steene
Executive Director
