Flood Insurance Workshop | News Release | City of Alexandria

Thursday, March 2 from 6:30– 8:30 p.m.

City Hall – Sister Cities Conference Room 1101, 301 King St., Alexandria

screen-shot-2017-01-30-at-3-11-53-pmThe City of Alexandria has invited the flood insurance professionals at Flood Risk Evaluator (F.R.E.) to conduct a free flood insurance workshop for Alexandria residents. All interested residents are welcome to attend; however, this workshop is tailored to Alexandria residents already covered by flood insurance. Every Alexandria resident may purchase flood insurance backed by the National Flood Insurance Program despite proximity to FEMA floodplain.

This community outreach provided by F.R.E. will provide residents with information on improvements you can make to possibly reduce your flood insurance premium. If you are confused about coverage options or FEMA regulations/requirements, in just one free session, F.R.E. professionals can offer you the guidance you need with on the spot mitigation reporting and Flood Insurance Premium information.

Bring a copy of your Elevation Certificate and current Flood Insurance Policy for a one-on-one review with a Certified Floodplain Manager.

This workshop is free, but please register online with F.R.E. prior to the workshop or call F.R.E. at 866.599.7065.
