General Interest Meeting- Summer 2017 French Immersion Program for Teens
Tuesday, March 7 at 7 p.m.

Alexandria City Hall (Room 1102)

301 King Street

Please join the Alexandria-Caen Sister Cities Committee to learn more about this summer’s French language immersion program in Caen, France. The program is for rising 10th, 11th or 12th grade students.

The trip will take place July 7-27 in Caen, Normandy, and includes an excursion to Paris. Students fly to France and stay with a French family in Caen as part of a reciprocal teen immersion visit.  This summer, Alexandria teens visit Caen. Next summer Caen teens will visit families in Alexandria.  Hosting a student next summer isn’t required for participation, but we are always looking for host families in alternating summers to provide a warm welcome to our Caen counterparts.

The cost of the trip is round-trip airfare (to be purchased by ACSCC for a group rate), plus $300 for Paris excursion. Some previous study of French is preferred.
