“Because of your support during Spring2ACTion last year, 174 men and women found support at David’s Place. Of those 174 adults, 45 took the steps necessary to enter a residential shelter program, moving even closer to securing permanent housing and finding stability. “
It’s time to Spring2ACTion!
Mark your calendars for Alexandria’s city-wide giving day, Spring2ACTion, on Wednesday, April 5th! During Spring2ACTion, Carpenter’s Shelter is once again turning our attention to our day shelter, David’s Place. You can give the most vulnerable people in our community the support they need to secure a job, a home and a self-sustaining future.
David’s Place is the only day shelter in the City of Alexandria for homeless men and women to go and take showers, do laundry, have access to a phone, internet and a mailing address. David’s Place is the starting point for hundreds of men and women who begin to build their future.
Because of your support during Spring2ACTion last year, 174 men and women found support at David’s Place. Of those 174 adults, 45 took the steps necessary to enter a residential shelter program, moving even closer to securing permanent housing and finding stability.
Please donate and ask your friends and family to donate to Carpenter’s Shelter during Spring2ACTion on Wednesday, April 5th and continue supporting the men and women of Alexandria who need you the most. Our goal is to raise $40,000 to fund David’s Place for an entire year to continue providing refuge and support for the homeless in our community. Thanks to the Mason Hirst Foundation, the first $10,000 raised will be matched, so your impact is doubled.
With your help, we can continue to be the change that Alexandria’s most vulnerable men and women need to create a more stable future.
Make your contribution today, and it will automatically be counted towards our goal on April 5th!
