Hi Folks,

Lovely weather predicted for today, Thursday April 27th, perfect for stopping by and saying hi at the Old Town North Community Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market, Alexandria’s favorite dog friendly market.

901 North Royal Street, the Montgomery Park, Canal District.

Chef Michael of the Pretentious Gourmet promises chai spiced, chocolate chip, apricot pecan and oatmeal and mint chocolate chip cookies; along with catnip pillows and puppy treats for our four legged friends.  For the home Chefs among us, he will also have his signature Chai Spice blend. Sara of Dream of Goodies sold out of her gluten free cupcakes last week, make sure to try a sample of her delicious treats, always low glycemic and gluten free.  Twin Springs Fruit Farm, family owned and voted best of DC, bring us fresh produce, local eggs from neighbor Allen’s Happy Free Walking Hens along with fresh baked bread from Stonehearth Bakery and honey from their own fruit trees. Our savory lovers will enjoy Big D’s Irish Batch Bread, a Dublin favorite, Shamrock Bread, Butter Pickles and zesty Barbecue Sauce.

As the skies lighten, think of refreshing your wardrobe with Annie! Fitzknits has a new line of scarves for Spring/Summer! They are perfect for lakeside and breezy beach gatherings, and pair well with your attire for weddings, graduations, dinner out, etcetera.  LuLa Roe will join us with a fabulous selection of leggings, dresses t-shirts tunics.
