Join us for a Concert in Montgomery Park this evening Thursday, July 20th at 7:30 p.m. Musician David Alan Lange brings us Hill Country Blues. Pick up dinner from our vendors or one of our local restaurants and picnic in the Park. Our concerts are family friendly, dog friendly and a lot of fun.

Ana of Sweet Twist of Ecuador promises cold soups and dairy free ice cream lovingly crafted with fresh produce from local farms. Lionel Lopez returns to us this week with sweet summer corn, squash, heirloom tomatoes and more…Chef Michael, the Pretentious Gourmet, shares Chocolate Chip, Chai Spiced, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Apricot Pecan Oatmeal, along with treats for our four legged friends. Sara Bukovnik of Dream of Goodies will be sampling, Whoopie pies and chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting will return along with rum cakes, cinnamon spice muffins, and vanilla cupcakes with chocolate avocado frosting. Last week she sold out of both the cupcakes and the muffins…All of Dream of Goodies treats are low glycemic, gluten free and non GMO

In the community…

We will continue to offer Free Yoga in the Fresh Air Thursday Evenings from 6-7 pm through September 22nd at the Montgomery Park Gazebo, during the Old Town North Community Farmers’ Market.  Weather permitting.  Cancellations due to weather will be posted on the River’s Edge Yoga phone line, one hour before class.  571-218-2161 * 901 North Royal Street.

We will be accepting donations of healthy, non-perishable food for the food pantries of Alive, the Lazarus Ministry and Hunger Free Alexandria’s “Got Breakfast” dedicated to providing breakfast for 150 deserving families in Alexandria at the Free Yoga in the Fresh Air.

Seichou Karate offers a personal growth day camp in early August focusing on:

  1. SELF: The goal will be to understand and like ourselves
  2. OTHERS: The goal will be to improve our ability to relate to others
  3. EARTH: The goal will be to appreciate the Earth
