Attend the Artist Meet-and-Greet for the New Public Art at the Duke St. Tunnel July 24

The City of Alexandria’s Office of the Arts will host an artist meet-and-greet on Monday, July 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Duke Street Tunnel for people to meet the artists and learn about their work. Refreshments will be provided.

The City of Alexandria’s Office of the Arts has commissioned ZeroZero Collective to design a unique, site specific public art piece for the Duke Street Tunnel. The pedestrian tunnel is located southwest of the King Street Metro Station and connects the metro station with the Carlyle neighborhood. This public art project is part of the City of Alexandria’s Carlyle Vitality Initiative and is expected to be installed by fall 2017.
