Ad Hoc Joint City-Schools Facility Investment Task Force Meeting

For Immediate Release: August 30, 2017


The third meeting of the Ad Hoc Joint City-Schools Facility Investment Task Force will be held on Thursday, September 7 from 9 – 11 a.m. in the Sister Cities Conference Room 1101, City Hall, 301 King Street. The meeting will include subcommittee meeting report-outs as well as further discussion of preliminary application of draft criteria to CIP projects. The agenda and any relevant materials will be posted on the project website prior to the meeting.


All meetings of the Task Force are open to the public and recordings of each meeting will be posted on the website for community members who are unable to attend. In order to ensure sufficient time for the Task Force to complete its business, a public comment period of 10 minutes will be provided at the beginning of each meeting. Each speaker will be limited to two minutes, allotted on a first come first serve basis, and are asked to submit their comments or questions in writing prior to the meeting. It should be noted that members of the community are invited to submit written comments at any time for distribution to the Task Force.


The mission of the Task Force is to provide guidance to City Council to help frame the City and Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Facilities Capital Improvement Program for FY 2019 – FY 2028 and beyond.
