Alexandria Housing Development Corporation (AHDC) Board of Directors Vacancy

The Alexandria Housing Development Corporation (AHDC) seeks an accountant to join its Board of Directors. A Board of Directors, comprised of Alexandria residents with experience and expertise in affordable housing development, finance and law provides oversight for the organization and its growing staff.

AHDC is a nonprofit housing development entity that was created by the City in 2004 to address Alexandria’s diminishing stock of affordable housing by preserving and developing new housing.  AHDC currently owns and operates four apartment properties (The Station at Potomac Yard, Arbelo Apartments, Lacy Court Apartments and Longview Terrace Apartments) and is developing two others, The Bloom at Braddock (The Carpenter’s Shelter redevelopment) and the Gateway at King and Beauregard.

To express interest in joining the AHDC Board, please contact Executive Director Jon Frederick, at 703-739-7775 or jfrederick@housingalexandria.org. For more information about AHDC’s mission and projects, please see https://housingalexandria.org/.
