Whiskey and brandy enthusiasts will enjoy thoughtful parings of autumn inspired cuisine and the appropriate spirits — promising to prove how food-friendly whiskies and brandies can be.  Chef Sebastien Rondier will pair Belgian and French hors d’oeuvres with Catoctin Creek’s Virginia-distilled spirits on Monday, November 13th in BRABO’s brasserie.

This exclusive menu will be presented side by side with each featured spirit and includes the following epicurean highlights:

Belgian Tart with roasted pear, bacon, and French blue cheese
Venison Lollipop with dried apricots, toasted walnuts, vanilla, and orange zest
Foie Gras Torchon Crostini with brandied cherries, duck fat popcorn, and black pepper
Boar Slider topped with charred scallion & jalapeño jam, and sweet & spicy grape condiment
Apple Terrine with cocoa-smoked pork belly and puff pastry

Catoctin Creek founders, Becky and Scott Harris, will be offering an exclusive tasting of their distillery’s popular products including the Roundstone Rye whiskey, the Pearousia Pear Brandy, the Quarter Branch Apple Brandy, the 1757 Virginia Grape Brandy, and the “Distiller’s Reserve” 92 Proof Roundstone Rye whiskey. Guest will not only savor their libation and food parings but will also be able to enjoy the Harris’ sharing stories behind each libation creation while pouring out some healthy tastes.
