City of Alexandria and Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority Host Meeting of Resolution 830 Public Consultation Process
In January 2018, the City of Alexandria and the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority (ARHA) began an effort to review and modernize their joint commitment requiring replacement of public housing and publicly-assisted units that are demolished or redeveloped. This commitment is memorialized in Resolution 830.
The last of four public meetings will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Alexandria Renew Education Center & Meeting Space (1800 Limerick St., Sixth Floor). The meeting topic will be “Recommendations on Updated Resolution 830 Policy.” Refreshments will be provided.
As part of the public consultation process, the City and ARHA have established the Resolution 830 Working Group, a diverse group of stakeholders who will help develop recommendations for consideration in spring 2018 by the ARHA Board of Commissioners and the Alexandria City Council. The public is encouraged to participate by attending meetings and providing input during public discussion periods. Questions and comments will also be taken throughout the public consultation process.
