Local Chocolate & Wine Tasting at Carlyle House

Gather on Carlyle House’s Magnolia Terrace for a Chocolate and Wine Tasting. Enjoy locally made chocolates from Potomac Chocolate paired with delicious wines. In addition to the wine and chocolate there will also be small snacks for guest to enjoy.

The tasting is this Saturday, May 5th from 6:30 – 9 o’clock. Tours of Carlyle House (121 N Fairfax) will take place between 6:30 and 7 and then the tasting will start promptly. Tickets are $40 per person and registration is required. This is a 21 and over events.

This is one of Old Town’s many events in May celebrating Historic Preservation Month which first started in 1973.

This event is one in a series sponsored by the Office of Historic Alexandria, Alexandria Department of Planning & Zoning, and Northern Virginia Conservation Trust. Alexandria’s Historic Preservation Month’s collaboration partners for  include: The Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Alexandria Library Special Collections, Alexandria Association, Alexandria Historical Society, Carlyle House, Lee-Fendall House, Alexandria Archaeological Commission, the Alexandria Historical Restoration and Preservation Commission, the Boards of Architectural Review, and Historic Alexandria Resources Commission.
