Watch Coco and Wonder Woman in Waterfront Park this Weekend | Jennifer Holtzman | City of Alexandria

Looking for something different to do tonight? Alexandria’s Annual Comcast Film Outdoor Festival kicks off at dusk with the family favorite Coco. Tomorrow night will feature the blockbuster Wonder Woman. — an appropriate flick since the sequel is being filmed in Alexandria.

I reached out to Jennifer Deutsch with a few additional questions regarding this weekend’s festival. Here is our Q&A:

Q: Dog friendly?

A: The city/park rules are that all dogs must be on a leash. That said, the event will have lots of people of all ages, loud noises, etc. so I encourage owners to think about if their dog can handle that stressful setting before they bring them.

Q: Time of the show/s?

A: The shows begin whenever it gets dark outside. Typically this is around 8:30pm but it can be slightly before or slightly after. We encourage people to come early for the best seating.

Q: Should people bring chairs or blankets or both?

A: Both beach chairs and blankets are welcome! We ask that people with beach chairs sit towards the back.

Q: Picnics encouraged?

A: YES! Additionally, our charity, the Child and Family Networks Center will be selling concessions like popcorn, movie candy, soft drinks, etc.
